COMMUNITY & CONNECTION PRAYER WATCH

Through the life of Linden and the projects that we run, it’s a privilege to see people coming together, to hear stories of personal growth and encounters with God. We thrive as humans when we are in relationship with each other.

Over the next two weeks we want to focus our prayers on loneliness. Loneliness does not look like one thing. There are many people around us who feel disconnected and alone for a variety of reasons including, relationship breakdown, bereavement, financial challenges, mental health, transitions of life and caring responsibilities amongst others.

I’m sure this resonates with many of us both from personal experience and people we know and love. In these two weeks we want to give space to pray for people facing loneliness and isolation.

As with so many of our prayers our cry is ‘Your Kingdom come, as it is in Heaven.’

We will spend each day with a different focus of prayer around this theme.

Let’s join together in this collective prayer effort.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4: 4-7 (NIV)
